Duties & Responsibilities:
PCAs play an essential role in assisting people who have experienced a loss of self-sufficiency and can no longer handle daily functions on their own:
- By providing support with daily activities, tasks such as meal service and feeding assistance are addressed, along with aiding in mobility, turning, and positioning and ensuring visitors are nourished with water and food throughout the day.
- The maintenance of guest stability is accomplished by overseeing vital signs and keeping track of fluid intake and output.
- Maximizing guest comfort by judiciously utilizing available resources and materials, rendering transportation services, promptly attending to call lights and fulfilling guest requests, and keeping the nursing supervisor informed of significant observations.
Qualifications:
- Many educational institutions and employers offer programs and resources to help individuals earn their high school diploma or GED
- Good listening skills
- Coupling kindness with a desire to help, this compassionate assistant delivers outstanding service to all those they interact with
- Those who aspire to improve their credentials can avail of the opportunity to receive paid Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) certification training through our institution.
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age to take part in the competition
- Fluency in English's three core skills: reading, writing, and speaking
- Having the ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is a valuable trait
